3 aspects of the teachings in the traditions of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen

VIEW TEACHINGS answer the big questions. What is Reality? What is Self-realization? What is a human being? What is God? What are our practices for? What are duality and nonduality?  How can we live a good life? What is the purpose of life?  View teachings give us the context for our practice and orient us so that we have the best result when we practice.  Every teaching begins with View.

PRACTICE, or SADHANA means the actual things we do to transform our experience and realize. These include mantra, meditation, kriya yoga, guru yoga, asana, puja, kirtan, ayurveda and so on. Practices are done “on the cushion” and are also integrated into everyday life.

TRANSMISSION means that by spending time with the teacher, you have a direct experience of the fruit of the practices. Transmission serves as an experiential beacon so that you know where you are headed.
