Dohas are spontaneous songs of spiritual experience, celebration, and prayer. They often contain spiritual teachings. The dohas of teachers are sometimes sung by students as part of their sadhana. Dohas have existed since ancient times in traditions from both India and Tibet.
Dohas are intimate self-expressions at the same time that they speak about the essence of existence and waking up. ~Shambhavi Sarasvati
Shambhavi started writing dohas spontaneously in the spring of 2019 while on a personal retreat.
Eternal Spring MP3
eternal spring lyrics
Resting between night and day
the shining spring calls us to rise
A loving voice sounds gently
from neither inside nor out.
Everything renews
especially the most destroyed
nowhere to go but closer
to the one who feeds us all.
Each day dawns tender and green
The fountain plays full of joy
It comes to meet us sweetly
Falling from the crown of the Lord
Attachments just repeat
mindless, heavy, and cold
bathing in wisdom’s eternal spring
we come home we come home
