East Bay TBA
with Shambhavi Sarasvati
“Guru yoga is both the most beginning and the most advanced practice. It helps us to directly recognize and explore enlightened essence nature. With this beacon, we can fruitfully engage the path of self-realization and ultimately rest in the state of Guru Yoga.” ~Shambhavi Sarasvati
What is Guru Yoga?
Guru Yoga means discovering that the enlightened essence nature of the primordial Guru is the same as and continuous with your own real nature. Guru can be in the form of an accomplished teacher, an enlightened being or a symbol of unconditioned wisdom, such as a crystal or sound form.
You will receive a complete teaching in the meaning of Guru Yoga and opportunities to learn and practice various methods of Guru Yoga from Kashmiri and Tibetan direct realization traditions.
Guru Yoga is related to transmission. The practices of Guru Yoga are designed to give you an opportunity to receive a more direct transmission of your real nature and to abide in that.
What you will receive
- A complete teaching in the meaning of Guru Yoga
- Opportunities to learn and practice methods of Guru Yoga from the Dzogchen and Trika traditions
This teaching will be held live in the East Bay, exact location TBD. Shambhavi has not yet decided whether this teaching will be livestreamed. Please check back.
December 12, 1-5pm

All Jaya Kula teachings offer “regular” and “low-income” options for registration. Just choose the option that’s appropriate for you. The students of Jaya Kula have generously donated and made it possible for us to offer additional discounts for people who cannot afford the low-income fee. Please email Shambhavi if this is your circumstance.
The “sponsoring” option is a higher donation amount. 100% of the difference between the “regular” registration fee and the “sponsoring” amount will be used to assist students who cannot afford the low-income fee. Sponsor donations will be used to both offer deeper discounts and to reimburse low-income students or people experiencing temporary financial hardships for part or all of their airfare to attend teachings and retreats.
The “Lakshmi’s Cupboard” option is for people not attending this teaching who wish to assist others to attend. Please write “Lakshmi” in the message line when making your donation so that your contribution can be earmarked for students in need.
