Ways to Attend

Learn classical yogic breath techniques for calming your mind, improving digestion, enhancing circulation, opening your subtle channels, experiencing more continuity with life, and feeling more alive.

Pranayama means to regulate the breath in an ordinary sense, but it also means to extend the prana, or life force. We extend our breath in order to experience whole body breathing and whole body vitality. We also extend our breath by reconnecting our individualized experience of aliveness with the life force of everything.

what you will learn

  • Several styles of classical pranayama and their uses and effects
  • Mudras (hand positions) and bandhas (locks) for enhancing the experience of pranayama

People with active, inflammatory conditions such as IBD, Crohn’s or RA, will not be able to perform the heating pranayamas. However, we will also learn some soothing and cooling breaths.
