Learn to paint and meditate with traditional Yantras from India!
Yantras are beautiful and ancient sacred geometric diagrams. When we paint and meditate with yantras, we can discover and activate within ourselves natural wisdoms such as compassion, clarity, persistence and courage.
What you will Learn
- How to paint a traditional Ganesha yantra
- How to chant the mantra (a purifying sound) for your yantra
- How to integrate yantras into your personal life
- For more advanced students, or those who finish the Ganesha yantra: Mavis will guide you in painting a yantra of your choosing, or one she feels is appropriate for you.
No experience with either yantras or painting is necessary. Materials will be provided and are included in the workshop fee.

About the Teacher
Mavis Gewant is a sacred artist, educator, doula, and practitioner of Vedic astrology. She learned the ancient techniques of yantra and deity painting from Tantric master Dada Shri Harish Johari in a relationship that spanned more than 20 years. She is the illustrator of his last book, Planetary Meditation Kit. Mavis uses mandalas and meditation to help women prepare for birth and to heal from birth trauma.
