Your real nature, the heart of wisdom, is available to be discovered at any moment, in any circumstance. Join Shambhavi and the Jaya Kula community for a monthly practice of heart-based direct introduction to your real nature grounded in the traditions of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen.
What is Darshan?
Darshan means to see your real nature. You discover in an experiential way that you are made of indestructible wisdom and virtue. In the direct realization traditions such as Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen, this often happens through the alchemical process of sitting with a teacher.
What is the Heart?
Trika Shaivism emphasizes the heart as the essence of reality. The heart is the outpouring of wisdom and virtue that lives within us and everywhere. The heart is the living symbol of the beneficence, clarity, and wisdom that gives rise to and pervades all beings, worlds, and circumstances.
What happens in Heart Darshan?
We are all unique. Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen recognize this by employing diverse means to help students to recognize and realize.
Shambhavi and participants will play in the field of direct introduction, also called transmission. We will experiment with meditation, symbols, sound, movement, words, and more subtle methods.
Over time, we will train to become more familiar with and immersed in the natural state of wisdom using some of the methods most central to direct realization traditions.
Cost
$5, $10 or $20 donation.
Timings
Every 1st Thursday from 6:45-8pm Pacific.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Shambhavi emphasizes the more explicitly devotional teachings and practices of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen and direct knowing through encounters with the wisdom of the heart. She is also known for making complex teachings about the nature of the self and reality understandable, practical, and always relatable to everyday experience. Her teachings are grounded in her more than thirty-five years of daily personal practice and personal retreats.
“Generosity is a fountain of living light at the heart of creation. Having opened your heart and recognized its identity with the heart of the divine, you want to be here giving and giving throughout your natural lifetime. This is the essence of realization.” ~Shambhavi
