Did you know that every letter in the Sanskrit alphabet is a mantra? How about that chanting Sanskrit enacts the entire process of creation? Join us for this teaching in Sanskrit pronunciation and chanting for beginners who want to go deep!
What You will Learn
- How to correctly pronounce and chant the Sanskrit alphabet in transliteration (Roman alphabet)
- The hidden, spiritual meanings of Sanskrit sounds
- The most widely used system of reading transliterated Sanskrit with accent (diacritical) marks
- The correct pronunciation of Sanskrit words commonly used in yoga and other spiritual practices from India
- The chanting of prayers in Sanskrit.

About the teacher
Shambhavi emphasizes the more explicitly devotional teachings and practices of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen and direct knowing through encounters with the wisdom of the heart. She is also known for making complex teachings about the nature of the self and reality understandable, practical, and always relatable to everyday experience. Her teachings are grounded in her more than thirty-five years of daily personal practice and personal retreats.
