Kundalini Tantra is a 9-month teaching cycle with Shambhavi Sarasvati. You will be taking an experiential journey following the map of the chakras and nadis (subtle channels) as given in the Tantrik hatha yoga tradition. The purpose of this teaching is to open the gates of perception so that subtle energy body structures can be felt and become useful helpmeets in your process of unfolding.
What you will learn
- The anatomy of the subtle energy body according to the Tantrik hatha yoga tradition and the alternate maps of Trika Shaivism.
- The symbols, stories, mantras, and functions pertaining to the chakras, nadis (channels), granthi’s, bindus and other components of your energy body.
- Traditional seated practices to help you have a more profound and smooth experience of opening to expanded perceptual capacity.
- Traditional seated practices to enhance your access to the usable wisdom of each component of your energy body.
- Integration practices to help you to use the teachings in your everyday life so that you can enjoy a more relaxed and nourishing experience of relating to yourself, others, and our world.
Timings
We will meet for three hours a month on the first Saturday from 9:30am – 12:30pm Pacific. The teachings will be in person in Portland, Oregon and livestreamed.
Commitment
Students are required to attend every monthly session except in cases of serious accidents, illness, or a death in the family. Events such as family gatherings, reunions, or work functions are not considered to be valid reasons to miss a teaching. The course only meets for 3 hours each month, and by registering for the teaching, you are committing to arrange your schedule around that.
Anyone missing a teaching for reasons other than serious accidents, illness, or a death in the family will be asked to leave the course, and your course fees will not be refunded.
Prerequisites
The only prerequisites are that you make the commitment to attend and also to do some of the practices each month.

You can join this teaching via two-way Zoom livestream or in person in Portland, Oregon. For livestream attendance, you’ll receive the zoom link via email after you complete your registration.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Shambhavi emphasizes the more explicitly devotional teachings and practices of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen and direct knowing through encounters with the wisdom of the heart. She is also known for making complex teachings about the nature of the self and reality understandable, practical, and always relatable to everyday experience. Her teachings are grounded in her more than thirty-five years of daily personal practice and personal retreats.
